I wanted to give a shout-out to my shoes. You may think this is a frivolous post, but if you're on your feet a lot or planning to walk a lot, you will thank me. The first time I came to London in 2000, I wore Reebok walking shoes. I felt like I was wearing a neon sign that said "TOURIST." One day I was on the tube and I looked down and noticed I was the only person with light-colored shoes. And they weren't even comfortable for all the walking!
Since then I have worn Ecco shoes on my trips to Europe. They're great and wear well, but they're black and they lace up - not such a great look with a skirt or in late summer.
I found these Josef Seibels at Dillard's at SouthPark. Now I know they're not the best-looking shoes in the world, (Keith calls them my "baseball shoes" because of the white stitches) but I will tell you this: I have worn them every day for 10 days, I have walked a ton and my feet have not hurt once. No blisters, no aches, no pains.
Best. Shoes. Ever.

Sounds like you're having a wonderful time! Our staffers say you are very smart to be doing everything you can while you're there!
We really think the tribute to your shoes was a thoughtful thing, too. Those look like shoes we wouldn't even consider chewing out of respect.

These DO look like baseball shoes! I'm sure they are comfortable. Tod would just LOVE them...ha ha! He says I wear some of the ugliest shoes he's ever seen but I've come to realize that comfort is of the utmost importance! Maybe I should get some of these AND a treadmill! Ha ha! Missin' ya!
